In Zakynthos, every hotel tells a different story about how to experience the island. Some favour peace and privacy, while others embrace a livelier atmosphere. This diversity is what we wanted to explore in “Indian Summer – When Summer Lingers in Zante”. Domes Aulūs Zante finds its place in the selection with a convivial spirit and the freedom to shape each day according to your own mood.
Days Shaped by the Moment
The appeal of an all-inclusive stay is partly its simplicity. Once the bags are unpacked, meals, activities and moments of relaxation naturally fall into place throughout the day. A morning might begin by the water, continue over lunch and then take an entirely different turn. An activity, a few hours on the beach, or simply deciding to do nothing at all. There is no real need to follow a set schedule.
Whether travelling as a family, as a couple or with friends, everyone can enjoy their own pace while still sharing certain moments. The rooms and suites come in several configurations. Our preference is the Sapphire Serenity Retreat, a 27-square-metre open-plan suite with a double bed and sofa bed. Its view over the Ionian Sea is perhaps its most distinctive feature, with the room opening the eye towards the landscape beyond.
The interiors combine sandy, cream, blue and olive-green tones, creating a restrained Mediterranean feel. The bathroom continues the same aesthetic, with a shower and stone basin. Designed for two adults and one child, the suite retains an intimate atmosphere despite its open outlook towards the sea.

The Sea as a Constant Presence
In Zakynthos, the sea naturally sets the pace. It accompanies slow mornings, spontaneous swims and long hours spent in the sun. Yet a stay here does not have to revolve solely around the resort. The island invites you to get on the road, discover its villages, follow its Mediterranean landscapes or seek out quieter coves before returning to the calm of the hotel.
Domes Aulūs Zante can be a starting point as much as a place to return to. One day might be spent entirely at the resort, while the next begins with a drive to explore the surrounding area. During the Indian summer, when the island settles into a gentler rhythm, the days lend themselves more easily to unexpected detours and last-minute changes of plan. You can set off in the morning without necessarily knowing where the day will take you.
A Convivial Spirit
The character of Domes Aulūs Zante also comes from its social atmosphere. Families, couples and groups of friends share the same spaces while remaining free to experience their days in their own way. Some gather around an activity or a meal, while others choose to settle by the sea or head out to discover Zakynthos. Different rhythms cross paths without necessarily overlapping.
